Markus Robinson, an entrepreneur with more than ten years of professional experience in Information Technology, is the owner of Robinson Innovations, a start-up business. He has created custom web applications and mobile apps for businesses, including Radio One and Connxus. Currently, he is the lead for a team of developers and designers at Interactive One’s Innovation who research, develop, deploy and launch new web and mobile products using Lean Agile development techniques. He is a co-founder of Black Web Media (Flagship site Black Web 2.0). As the former Director of College of Human Sciences at Florida State University, he coordinated all aspects of technology support for more than 5000 students, faculty and staff. He was the former Coordinator of Computer Applications for FSU Police Department, Computer Support Technician for FSU User Services, and a Helpdesk Technician. He has managed employees in troubleshooting, provided general computer support to FSU students, faculty, and staff, created online training modules for new employees, and a departmental Intranet Site utilizing Macromedia Cold Fusion. He is an expert in Agile Development techniques, WordPress, PHP, and Linux. In 2009, he was a keynote speaker for a blogging forum, and speaks on entrepreneurship/technology and African-Americans in technology and the digital divide. A graduate of Florida A & M University with a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business Administration, Markus currently resides in New York.
